    We cycled by the river and enjoyed our stay. The cozy pub was a great retreat from the rain, and the staff were super friendly. Don't miss the delicious breakfast. Just a heads up, it can get chilly in the rooms, but they provide extra heaters.

    One downside was that the bus service didn't run on Sundays, so planning for that was a bit tricky. Best to book a taxi in advance if you're heading out that day.

    Really enjoyed our perfectly clean and absolutely perfect rooms, plus the staff was WELCOMING. It was a stunning and fantastic location really close to the River Ouse, the centre of York, and the road. The full English breakfast had a wide array of food.

    Had this very nice roast pork dinner with all the trimmings that just blew my mind. The staff welcomed us with such genuine smiles, you could feel the warmth even before the food arrived!

    The ship inn is a charming old stone building by the river. We had a lovely room with excellent views across the water and it was super clean. The staff were super friendly. We enjoyed sampling local real ales and the food was large and fair priced.

    The ship inn is great location right by the river. Our double room was lovely and warm, with a comfy bed that gave us a great night's sleep. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the bar staff who resolved my computer issue. We enjoyed dinner and loved the salted caramel cheesecake!
